In Memoriam Joe Falcon .

Joe (Jose E. M. Falcon II, known to some as “Mencho”, was 56, and a long-time resident of Azusa, CA. Transitioned March 24th in his sleep while on tour with Ne-Yo.

Joe was longtime Stage Manager,Tour and Production Manager, he loved what he did. But more importantly, he loved those he so graciously worked with. Despite the everyday craziness of life on the road, Joe was never without a smile or a kind word for his entertainment family.

Joe was a man who wore many hats. He was a fireman putting out fires when a hotel booking fell through. He was a referee when people couldn’t see eye to eye. He was a friend who always kept you fed and hydrated when the day was going to be long and arduous. He was a counselor offering prayer and support when times got tough, and life got a bit overwhelming.

It goes without saying that Joe always made himself available to anyone and everyone knew that. Joe selflessly provided whatever he could, no matter how big or small, whenever he saw the need. He loved our family as well as his extended touring family. Joe will be missed by His touring family, Rocu family, collegues and many friends.

Joe was excellent at everything he did. He was an excellent son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson, godfather, and FRIEND! Joe’s life was nothing short of amazing. Joe entered this world on October 17, 1967, in Merced, California. Joe attended Paramount Elementary School, Slauson AND Center Intermediate Schools and was a graduate of Azusa High School. He held a degree in Graphic Design and worked for a time at Capitol Records in Hollywood, California in their Graphic Design department but his experiences were not limited to just this. Joe traveled around the country with his family, La Familia Falcón, a musical group whose style was rooted in the Mexican/American and Tejano genres. After surviving a devastating bus accident in 1987, Joe transitioned to the other side of the stage and went on to enjoy a 30+ year career as a Production Manager for many Latin, Pop, R&B and Soul superstars. Joe was the “behind the scenes” star who made the superstars shine!

Joe is survived by his parents, Noe J. Falcón, Sr., Thomasa Santana Falcón, Noe T. (Connie) Falcón, Jr., Gabriel Santana (Linda) Falcón, David (Yvonne) Falcón, Suzanne Marie (Anthony) Falcón Naranjo, Rene (Marisol) Falcón, Hilda (Lynn Jr.) Falcón Swartwood and Paul Steven Falcón as well as 6 nephews, 3 nieces, 3 grandnieces, 1 grandnephew and multiple godsons and goddaughters.

Our Lord Jesus Christ, accompanied by nephew Michael, niece Ananissa, paternal grandparents Enemencio and Maria Falcón, maternal Grandparents Esteban and Aurora Santana and various aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends, welcomed Joe into his heavenly home on Sunday, March 24, 2024.
