Roadies Of Color United, a 501c(6) Non-Profit Association, Co Founded by Lance “K.C.” Jackson and William “Bill” Reeves in 2009 is comprised of Professionals of color in the Entertainment Services, Concert Touring and Live Entertainment Industries. Our organization was created to unite, network, promote, and collaborate in order to create a sense of community and to help each other grow in our related Industries. Our goal is to connect our members to each other and to advocate for increased diversity in the hiring practices of the larger entertainment industry as regards professionals of color of all genders.
Roadies Of Color United was started as a social network to represent, introduce and unite those of us in the concert touring and entertainment services that were not being represented on other industry related social network platforms of the time and has evolved into Non Profit membership association..
We have produced webinars, been featured in various trade publications and participated in numerous workshops and panels. We feel that we are helping to change practices and to bring awareness of the need to diversify hiring practices in our industry.
With the resumption of business over the last months we are now planning our second conference. We will be building on our last conference intimacy but with expanded round tables, workshops and presentations. As before we want to get a significant number of our members together to celebrate getting back to work, network, foster a sense of community and exchange information about new products, new technology and vendor contacts. We want to give our attendee’s tools and knowledge that will enhance their continuing pursuit of excellence as professionals in the live entertainment industry.
Our attendees will all be full-time professionals in the live entertainment industry. They will be Tour Managers, Production Managers, Promoter Reps as well as Audio, Video and Lighting Engineers, Wardrobe Heads, Carpenters and Riggers. They are people who either make or directly influence purchasing and contracting decisions when tours and shows are being put together. They are the people that you, as a sponsor, want to have knowledge of your product or service. They are the people who well may become future clients for your business and help increase your bottom line.
We would like to offer you the opportunity to access our attendees for the purpose of promoting your company or product. As a Sponsor you will be acquainting our attendees with your company or product and its suitability for their next tour or show. We have four levels of sponsorship available plus an opportunity to be the sole named sponsor of one of our events. You will have your company name and logo made known to large group of potential customers who you might otherwise have trouble connecting with. You will have a chance to meet and build relationships with our attendees. And, as we know, this business is built primarily on relationships. This will be an excellent chance to introduce your company or product to a very targeted demographic.
